Our expanding school library
We have expanded the books on offer in our school library. We have a range of 'schemed' and 'real' books which make up our Book Banded offer. You will get to chose from a wide range of amazing new books to inspire you, excite you and give you a sense of awe and wonder. Are you a budding scientist? We have books for you! Are you amazed by historical facts? We have books for you! Do you love a scary story? We have the right book for you. Do you love reading a series of stories? Well there's plenty of that too. We have a wealth of books on topical issues such as dealing with stress and anxiety, online safety, diversity and inclusion, racism and social justice, and books about different cultures. We offer books with positive role models, ensuring that characters of colour are well represented. Children, you are going to love what's on offer. We can't wait for you to to get your hands on these books and to write some brilliant book reviews to guide others and share on our school website.
Making our library interactive
Year 2 have had so much fun creating interactive book covers for our library. We wanted to write a review of one of our favourite books 'The Tear Thief' by Carol Ann Duffy and decided to do this a little different! We have written in role of The Tear Thief and then used 'Chatter Pix' to make the Tear Thief come to life. We then created QR codes to place on the front of books. We hope these quirky book reviews entice others to read this amazing book! Enjoy!

St.Helens Library Service
St.Helens library Service have so much on offer! Although we can't visit in person at present, St.Helens Library still have lots of books and resources available.

Free eBook library from Oxford Owl for Home
Follow the link to view a wealth of free eBooks for children aged 3-11 on the Oxford Owl site. Select form the 'levels' drop down box and select book bands. Your teacher will tell you which book band is right for your child.
